More than half of the Day 1A starting field's been eliminated in the Borgata Poker Open Championship Event. Frank Molinari's the unofficial chip leader with 169k. "I'm pleased," he says, "I was running well and glad the day's over."

158 players are bagging and tagging as they advance to Monday's Day 2.

Day 1B kicks off 11 am Sunday and the field's expected to be double Saturday's total of 326. Notables that'll be playing include: Lacey Jones, Robert Varkoyni, Gavin Smith, Roy Winston, Gene Castro, Eric Siegel and Cathy Dever.
