LAST HAND BEFORE DINNER

The room had been cleared out for about 10 minutes when dinner broke. All but table #22. As I picked up the aqction, there was a board of [Kc 4c Ts] [8d].

The hand involved two players and all others had left for break. John Larochelle was contemplating a call of his opponents open turn shove for $52,500 with about $60k in the pot.

He tanked hard. He asked every question in the book. "How many tournaments have you played?". "Will you show me if you call?". "Should I go with my gut? I'm thinking about shipping it in with a bare ace." "This is so sick man, I know I'm best right here."

His opponent, Carmen Cavella (Cav), sat there stone faced, and never once looked up, acknowledged, or answered a question.

Larochelle, semi pushed his chips in at least three times during the 3 and a half minutes of his tank. Cavella eventually asked for a clock, and Larochelle agreed. "That's fair. I've been taking a while, and I apologize and appreciate your patience."

The floor started the clock, and Larochelle folded before he got the count down. "Good hand bro." One of the players who had happened by to watch half way through gave Cav congratulations and admiration on how he handled the tank. "I've never seen anyone sit so still and give away so little information for such a long time."

Players have 52 minutes left to finish dinner before they come back for level 15.
