EVENT #8 MORE NOTABLES

For the first time this series, the tournament room sold out at 900 players and went to alternates. At the end of Level 2 there are still several players hanging around the Tournament Director area waiting for their names to be called. Once we have the official numbers we will get them right out to you.

The poker tournament room at the Borgata on Sunday during the NFL season seem to be just a little more amped up than normal. Players are dividing their time between playing their hands and watching a football game on one of the 4 giant TV screens around the room. If something big happens for a New York on Philadelphia team, the cheers are almost as loud as someone hitting a one outer for a monster pot. It's a great atmosphere here today.

The players are just coming back from their first break and another walk through the tournament area found more names to watch. I'm not sure how I missed on my first pass, Anna Wroblewski is playing in today's field as well at Matt Fox and Mike Sica. Big name Borgata regulars making their way up to the tournament area are Mike Kalfa, James Boyle, Alex "The Jedi" Neponyaskhiy, Manny Patel, Evy Ankers, and Roz Quarto.

We did end up losing a player on the very first hand of the tournament. An anonymous player ended up with all his chips in the middle pre-flop with AJo versus AA. 500 big blinds were shipped on the first hand of a deep stack tournament with the JackAce.
