EVENT #8 ON DINNER BREAK

Everyone remaining in Event #8 are heading off on their dinner break to their favorite Borgata restaurant. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the die hard football fans stick around to take advantage of the poker kitchen and huge TV's showing the game. Some of players we've been following have either been knocked out or moved to a table where they haven't been spotted yet. Moran Michilovich, Mike Kalfa, Alvin Delgado, and Frank Cieri.

The loudest moment in the room so far, besides the Eagles/Jets/Giants fans, occurred on table 45 between two anonymous players. This involved a battle of the two outers. All the chips were the middle preflop with AA feeling confident against a pair of ducks. The flopped two caused the first commotion and drew my attention to table when half the table jumped to their feet. Once things settled, the dealer routinely pealed and Ace on the turn. To the credit of the 22 man, he didn't do anything crazy except rap the table and ship the chips.

From counting the tables which have been broken so far, we are down under 600 players. Just a mere 500 players from the money bubble. After the floor staff performs the color up and chip races, we will try to track down the bigger stacks in the room and report back.

Below is a site you don't see very often during the Borgata Poker Open. The tournament floor empty of everyone except tournament staff. With Event #6 and the Super Satellite moved to the poker room, the Deep Stack Event #8 is the only one playing here at the moment. The players are off enjoying their dinner break.
