Players are still lined up down the hallway as Event #8 kicks off and this looks to the be biggest field of the 2009 Borgata Poker Open to date. There are some big names waiting to enter the field but a quick walk through found Event #3 and #4 winners Chris Reslock and Adam Lippert, Borgata regular Alvin Delgado and Will "The Thrill" Failla.
PPI member Frank Cieri was registered early and has taken his seat. He told me to say hi to his wife Fran back at home. She's at home babysitting and would much rather be here playing. Frank said he's going to try to make it worthwhile by taking down the tournament.
We'll be back later as things settle and we can get a better feel for who's in the field.

Hi, I saw you post on the blog before to send any requests for updates on a player, we were wondering if you'd be able to check up on Keith Johnson. When he registered he told us he was on table 1, but he must have turned his phone off when the tourney started. If you're looking for an interesting story, he is actually playing with 3 busted ribs, a seperated shoulder, and a ruptured disc in his neck, against doctors orders. A week ago, he climbed a tree to help get a cat out of a tree that belonged to the little girl next door to him, when the branch broke sending him down 20 feet. So we're hoping he's able to get some traction in this event, before he ends up in traction, lol. Anyway, if you'd be able to, we'd greatly appreciate it.
