PROTECTING STACKS

Here's a hand that pitted two of the bigger stacks against each other. David Shrewsbury raised from middle position to 8000 and it folded around to Mark Salinaro on the button. Salinaro made it 20,500 straight, and it folded back to Shrewsbury who made the call.

The flop came [3h 5c 6d] and Shrewsbury led out 30,000. Salinaro moved all in, and Shrewsbury asked for a count. "About 120k left" replied Salinaro. Shrewsbury thought for a bit and folded after looking at his cards.

He whispered to himself about folding a big pocket pair, and Salinaro scooped the big pot.

We're two hours away from breaking for the night and will have more hand histories and all the action as it comes.
