WILD, CRAZY & INSANE (EVENT #6)

Gabrielli, Better Late Than Never

The 1k tournament is hand for hand and stuck on 37 players for 30 minutes. After a break to color up, a "wild, crazy and insane hand," as one player describes it, unfolds on the first hand back.

With blinds at 3k/6k/500 ante, Bradley Hood (Oakdale, PA) raises UTG to 16k when Matthew Pincus (Colts Neck, NJ) shoves all-in for 40k, setting off a chain reaction. Robert Hwang (Barnegat, NJ) shoves all-in for more, Armando Gabrielli (Manhasset, NY) joins the party for 43k and it's back to Pincus.

After confirming that in the case of mulitple eliminations, the shortest stack will be the bubble and miss the cash, Hood is also all-in and players reveal.

Hood (AA)
Hwang (AA)
Gabrielli (KK)
Pincus (99)

The flop brings a king, giving Gabrelli the lead. The board bricks and after confirming Gabrelli has Pincus covered, Pincus is on the rail.

On a side note, Gabrelli was MIA to start the day after oversleeping for the first hour of the restart. Gabrelli hustles to his seat and sees he was blinded out 30k and relieved he's still alive.

"A ran all the way down here," says Gabrelli after arriving at the Event Center where the tournament was suppossed to be held. After realizing the final five tables were moved to the poker room, Gabrelli was finally in his seat.

"You guys can't call my room," he says to guys at the table. One buddy snaps back, "your 40 and we have to worry about waking your a$$ up?"

Play is now on 4 tables, as players slowly bust out and head to the cage. Places 28-36 collect $1,820.
